About This Activity
Pangea World Theater’s summer camps are week-long, full-day theater camps in Minneapolis that focus on storytelling, masks, and ensemble-based play—with a big emphasis on their “radical welcome” approach (all experience levels are invited, and the environment is designed to be collaborative and inclusive). Kids practice core theater skills while also building “whole kid” skills like confidence, public speaking, communication, and teamwork.
For summer 2026, Pangea is offering camp for ages 7–12 (entering grades 1–6) at their studio, with an option of two camps in July: Theater Camp — Dreaming Together (July 20–24, 2026) and Mask Camp — The World of Animals (July 27–31, 2026), both running 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

What Parents Think Could Be Improved
- Most reviews you’ll find are about Pangea’s performances and venue, not detailed summer-camp day-by-day feedback—so it’s harder to validate specifics like daily structure, group management, and kid experience from third-party reviews alone.
Our Take
The most verifiable online sentiment points to Pangea as a welcoming, community-rooted theater space with thoughtful programming—so their summer camps are likely a great fit for kids who love imagination, costumes/storytelling, and ensemble play more than competitive auditions or ultra-structured performance tracks. Given the lighter camp-specific review volume, the smartest MomBrains move is a quick pre-booking checklist: How are campers grouped? What does a typical day schedule look like? How much time is creating vs. rehearsing vs. free play? What’s the behavior/support approach?
