TADA! Theater

TADA! Youth Theater is a Drama Desk Award–winning nonprofit in Manhattan that produces original family musicals and runs a robust arts-education arm (classes, camps, workshops, plus in-school/after-school partnerships). Their education mission emphasizes accessible, high-quality musical theater programming that’s inclusive across backgrounds and identities, and they also run the Resident Youth Ensemble (RYET) as a free, year-round youth development and pre-professional training program.

For summer, TADA!’s flagship is week-long musical theater camp where campers co-create and perform a brand-new mini-musical every week—writing/creating the story, learning songs and choreography, and sharing a Friday debut performance for families. Summer 2026 runs Monday–Friday, 9:00am–3:30pm, with optional after-care, a nice fit for working-parent schedules. They also lean hard into theme-based weeks (Broadway, books, movies, pop-culture worlds—everything from Oz to Minecraft to K-pop-style themes).

During the school year, TADA! offers two “school’s out” formats: Broadway 1-Day Camps (school holidays) for ages 5–10, typically 9:00am–5:00pm, where kids learn vocals and choreography to a Broadway or movie-musical number with two teaching artists; and Week-Long School Break Camps during public/private vacation weeks for ages 4–10, where kids again create, rehearse, and perform an original mini-musical inspired by favorite characters and musicals (some weeks run full-day 9–5; at least one younger option is shorter-day 9–1:30).
