About This Activity
Camp Invention is a national, weeklong STEM day camp created by the National Inventors Hall of Fame, designed for curious kids entering grades K–6. Kids rotate through a set of hands-on “experiences” (think open-ended building, experimenting, and problem-solving) that are meant to spark creativity, persistence, and confidence—not just follow-a-kit directions. It’s hosted locally at schools and community sites nationwide (often in your own district), and the exact curriculum can vary by site, but the overall model is consistent: big, playful STEM challenges led by qualified local educators.
For parents, the biggest practical perk is flexibility: you can search by location to find dates, daily hours, and pricing for a specific site (cost varies by location).
