Camp Lakota is a classic co-ed sleepaway camp in the Catskill Mountains, set right on Masten Lake, a big draw for kids who want a true “lake camp” summer with tons of water time. The camp serves campers ages 6–16, with age-grouped programs (Braves 6–9, Hawks 10, Scouts 11, Trackers 12, Warriors 13, Chiefs 14–15, plus a CIT program at 16). Families often describe it as a structured, community-centered camp where kids build confidence and friendships through a consistent daily rhythm and supportive counselors.
Activity-wise, Lakota offers a wide range: water sports are the headline (it’s positioned as “the best lake in the region”), plus athletics, creative arts, outdoor adventure, and specialty options like horseback riding, waterskiing, go-karts, skatepark, culinary arts, and garage band (and more).
