Camp Thunderbird

Camp Thunderbird for Boys and Camp Thunderbird for Girls are sibling sleepaway camps located on separate campuses in Bemidji, Minnesota, offering a traditional overnight camp experience for children and teens. Established in 1946, the camps sit on more than 600 acres with three miles of shoreline and maintain a strong focus on character development, independence, leadership, and friendship-building. The camp also incorporates unique traditions such as Adventure Day excursions throughout Minnesota, village-wide Specialty Days, guided wilderness trips, and leadership opportunities that evolve as campers get older.

Life at Thunderbird is intentionally designed to foster close friendships and a strong sense of belonging. Campers live in small cabin groups organized by age, with experienced counselors and village leaders providing mentorship and support throughout the summer. Camp Thunderbird (2nd-9th Grade)‍

• Session One (June 14 – July 10): $8,375 (or $8,680 via credit card)
• Session Two (July 11 – August 6): $8,375 (or $8,680 credit card)
• Full Season (June 14 – August 6): $14,975 (or $15,515 credit card)

‍Teen Adventure Tours (9th-11th Grade)‍

• Single Season*: $8,725 (or $9045 credit card)
• Full Season*: $15,500 (or $16,055 credit card)

‍Camp Tuition Includes: room, board, in-camp activities (excluding horseback), and laundry.

‍Pass Through Fees: Horseback, outfitter and permit fees, out-of-camp experiences related to non-T-bird Expedition programming, and medical expenses. Camp store for a single session is $125, and a full season is $175.

‍Transportation: Minneapolis $150 round trip bus fee.

‍Sibling Discount: When two or more siblings attend, they discount tuition for each child by $200 for a full-season camper and $100 for a single-session camper.
