About This Activity
The Fashion Squad School offers many programs for kids 5-18, including:
Fashion Camps & Workshops
Short-term, intensive sessions that take place during breaks or special times (e.g., holidays, summer). These workshops pack the same core elements—design, sewing, styling—into a condensed format, allowing kids to dive into fashion design in a fun, immersive way even when they aren’t enrolled in full term programs.
After-School Fashion Design Program
A full-semester program running September-June for kids ages 5–12. Participants go on a journey that includes fashion illustration, fabric and pattern exploration, eco-friendly up-cycling, sewing real clothes and accessories, styling and modeling, and a runway showcase at the end of each of the three “Fashion Cycles” (Fall, Winter, Spring/Summer). Sessions are 2 hours long (or 1 hour on request), supplies included, with after-school pickup offered from several nearby schools.
Drop-In/Trial Classes
Saturday sessions designed for children ages 5+ who want to explore fashion design without committing long-term. In a 2-hour slot (morning or afternoon), kids pick a project (hoodie, pillow, dress), get introduced to a sewing machine, try on fittings, and take home something they made. It’s a flexible, fun entry point into fashion design—perfect for curious kids or busy schedules.
Together, these program types offer flexible entry points for kids to explore fashion design, whether they’re first-time learners or ready to dive deep.
