Greenwood Trails

Greenwood Trails is a coed sleepaway summer camp in Winsted, Connecticut (foothills of the Berkshires) for kids ~7–16. Families can choose 2- or 3-week sessions, or combine them for 5 weeks or a full 7-week summer for the ultimate camper!

Program-wise, Greenwood Trails is highly choice-based: campers have six 50-minute activity periods daily, customizing most of their schedule through weekly “majors” and daily “minors” across four “trails” (Athletics, Arts, Adventure, Aquatics). Activities range from classics (soccer, tennis, theater, pottery, swimming, canoe/kayak) to bigger-ticket adventure options like zip line, climbing wall, flying trapeze, aerial adventure park, plus lots of playful “only-at-camp” creations—and they even note that new in 2026 they're offering water skiiing! There’s also a clear daily rhythm (flag raising, activities, evening programs, cabin debrief), and specific age-division programming for younger vs. older campers.

During winter times of the year, they also offer additional programming and facility rentals in New York.
