About This Activity
iD Tech offers weeklong summer tech camps for kids and teens ages 7–17, held at 75+ prestigious universities across the U.S. (think Stanford, NYU, UC Berkeley, MIT partners, etc.). Their flagship “Tech Camps” are either day or overnight programs, where campers spend the week on a real college campus getting hands-on with technology—coding, AI, game design, robotics, Minecraft/Roblox modding, 3D printing, and more.
Each session blends world-class instruction with classic camp fun. iD Tech emphasizes that kids learn from “inspirational, relatable, world-class instructors” recruited from universities like Stanford and NYU, and that courses are “powered by iconic partners” and a custom STEM curriculum. A typical camp day includes several hours of project-based tech work in “next-gen labs,” plus breaks for games, outdoor time, and social activities like theme days, raffles, or gaming tournaments—so it feels like camp, not just summer school.
For parents, the draw is that kids get an intense, one-week deep dive into tech skills on a real campus, with a clear structure: small groups, defined course topics, and support from staff who know both the subject and how to keep kids engaged. Whether your child is just starting to code or already building games, iD Tech’s model is built around meeting kids at their level and helping them build a “future-proof foundation” in STEM, while still giving them a memorable, fun summer experience.
