About This Activity
LINX Camps is a large summer day camp program based in Wellesley (on the Dana Hall School campus) built around one big idea: families can mix-and-match weeks by interest area while still getting the “classic camp” experience. The campus setup is a major draw for parents—LINX highlights outdoor fields plus a 93,000 sq ft athletic building with a 25-yard indoor pool, two full-size courts, a 34-foot climbing wall, and indoor studios that can double as theater/dance space (helpful for weather days).
Program-wise, LINX organizes camps by age band, starting with Junior Camps (ages 3 through rising 1st grade), including a half-day intro option for ages 3–4 and full-day choices with (or without) swim depending on the specific junior program. For elementary and middle schoolers, their core menu includes General Camps (rising 2nd–8th)—their “most popular” style where campers get traditional camp activities plus choice periods (and often a swim period depending on the camp). From there, families can opt into themed tracks like Adventure (spy missions, survival skills, obstacle/Ninja-style challenges), Sports (recreational-level instruction and gameplay across sports like basketball, soccer, flag football, racquet sports, volleyball), Performing Arts (Broadway-style multi-week programs, acting, dance, improv, and even video-content/newscast style camps), and STEAM (projects like cupcake “battles,” D&D storytelling/critical thinking, makers/design, and science problem solving).
For logistics, LINX is very “working parent friendly”: standard camp hours are 9:00am–4:00pm, with early drop-off starting at 7:50am and extended day to 6:00pm (plus an option to add an extended day swim lesson). They also offer a robust bus service with neighborhood stops and real-time tracking (serving multiple towns) and an optional Lunch Box program with hot/cold choices and allergen-conscious policies (peanut/tree-nut free; includes vegan/gluten-free options). Finally, for older kids ready for leadership, LINX hosts a Counselor in Training (CIT) program for rising 9th graders as part of their camp selections.

Our Take
LINX’s strongest, most consistent signals are happy kids, high parent trust in operations, and standout variety—the kind of camp families use for multiple weeks because it’s reliable and keeps kids engaged.
