Sewataro

Camp Sewataro is a classic New England summer day camp (on about 44 wooded acres) that’s often described as “a day camp with an overnight camp feel.” It serves kids from preschool (age 3+) through 8th grade (plus counselor-in-training camp up to 19th grade), with age-banded sections (Chipmunks 3–4, Fox K–1, Bear 2–3, Eagle 4–5, Owl 6–8) so activities and supervision match each stage. The camp’s vibe is very outdoorsy and unplugged—focused on friendship, independence, and big “full camp day” energy in a supportive environment.

In terms of what kids do, Sewataro is huge on variety: they highlight multiple swim options (a swimming pond plus pools), plus favorites like zip line, rock wall, low/high ropes, archery, tennis courts, fishing/boating, and more. Families can usually choose from different session lengths (including shorter and multi-week options). Half day camps are held from 8:30 am – 12:45 pm and full day camps are 8:30 am – 3:45 pm.
