About This Activity
Super Duper Tennis offers flexible tennis camp options, typically lasting 1.5 to 3.5 hours per session, focused on kids and built around age-specific lesson plans so that children learn while they have fun. Camp sessions are offered during school-breaks, holidays and throughout the summer at locations in NYC and NJ. Each camp day typically includes warm-ups, athletic development (agility, balance, coordination), racquet/ball control games, tennis drills, snack break + “Super Duper School” mini-session (tennis facts/quiz/arts & crafts), games & play, and a cool-down stretch.
Beyond camps, Super Duper Tennis has structured classes for kids at varying ages and skill levels. For the youngest group (age 3) there’s a “Mini Aces” program using foam balls to help build coordination and motor skills. For ages 4-5 there’s “Tiny Aces” with red-ball tennis, and so on (5-6, 7-9, 10-13) with progressively larger courts/balls and more advanced skills. Their mission emphasizes creating an “educational, safe and exciting environment” that enhances self-esteem, builds confidence and fosters a love of tennis, using modified equipment (lower nets, lighter balls) endorsed by USTA’s “10 and Under” format.
