Teamworks Centers - Acton

Greater Boston

About This Activity

Teamworks offers a variety of camps for kids ages 4-16. Their summer camps run from mid-June through late August and welcomes children aged approximately 4 to 16. They offer a variety of schedules with an extended day options. The camps feature a wide range of themed tracks including traditional camp (play, crafts, theme days), sports camp (soccer, dodgeball, flag football plus free swim and team building) and cubs camp for younger children with a low camper-to-staff ratio.

They also offer an exciting summer adventure camp! The base camp is the core summer-camp experience, offering full-week sessions where children explore nature and try a broad mix of activities. Campers engage in things like archery, arts & crafts, swimming, hiking, team games, STEM/STEAM challenges, high-ropes, boating and more. The standard hours are 9:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.

For campers who want to dive deeper into a specific interest, the specialty adventure camps combine a themed half-day program with the broader base camp experience for the other half of the day. Weekly themes include things like fishing, woodworking workshop, farm to table cooking, princess camp, and more creative, adventure-based sessions. The hours match base camp, with the specialty theme occupying part of the morning, then joining base camp activities in the afternoon.

Finally, during school vacation periods (such as November, December, February, April, and other days off), Teamworks offers active, full-day programs where children stay busy through organized games, sports, and team-building activities rather than sit out the day at home. There’s even a “Kids Night Out” or evening-time option (for example 5:00 p.m.–8:30 p.m.) providing parents a break while kids enjoy safe supervised play!

Our Take

If you’re considering Teamworks Acton for summer or school-vacation camps, the program offers an active, high-energy environment with lots of variety—and many parents say their kids absolutely love it. It’s a strong option for children who thrive on movement, sports, and social play. That said, due to mixed feedback on supervision and handling of conflict, it’s wise to ask the camp director about staff-to-child ratios, bullying protocols, counselor training, and how they manage behavioral issues. For many families, the camp is a favorite; for others, the experience depends heavily on the week, group, or staff assigned.
