Ya Ya Preschool

Summer Ya Ya is a Mandarin immersion summer camp for young children, run by the team behind Ya Ya Preschool—a 100% Mandarin-immersion early childhood program in downtown Manhattan. The camp is staffed by native-speaking Mandarin head teachers with strong backgrounds in early childhood education and language development. They’ve been running this summer program for over 16 years, building a strong reputation with local families.

The camp is designed for children roughly ages 2–6. Camp runs Monday - Friday, with half day (8:30am to 12:30pm) and full ay options (8:30am to 3:00pm), and each 2-week session is built around playful, immersive themes—recent years have included "Travel Around the World” topics like Taiwan, night markets, safaris, and even a Ya Ya Convenience Store where kids role-play shopping and selling. Lunch and snacks are included in all programs.

The overall experience is a fun, deeply immersive Mandarin environment where young children build language naturally while playing, exploring, and doing art, science, pretend play, and cultural projects—all with the same warm, nurturing tone as the preschool year, but with a distinctly summery, camp-like feel.
